Genesis of Violence in Zimbabwe

Father Fidelis Mukonori is the director of the Centre for Peace Initiatives in Africa, a regional peace organisation based in Harare which works towards achieving a sustainable, stable and peaceful Zimbabwe. The organisation is committed to conflict prevention, management, and resolution to ensure the people of Zimbabwe and Africa at large can experience peace, development and good governance.He portrays the historical origin of violence in Zimbabwe from 1879 to the present in order to enable the people of Zimbabwe to find a way forward, regardless of ethnicity, colour or creed. The book discusses ways and means of moving Zimbabwe from a culture of violence to a culture of peace by promoting dialogue, stability and security in Zimbabwe.
